Hello, my name is Nancy Krystal. I'm general counsel at Jelly Belly Candy Company. When I started at Jelly Belly about six years ago, we had implemented a contract management software solution that was nothing more than a repository of contracts, and it was extremely laborious for me. And it took up so much of my time in reviewing the paper contract, and I had the cover sheet, and I had to write down the party's name, the expiration dates or any key terms. I would have a stack this high of contracts, and that just was, to me, a big waste of time.

So, I was actively looking for a solution that used artificial intelligence, and I ran into Evisort, and they agreed to come out to California to do a demo for us. It was like, "No, this is too good to be true," because it was exactly what I was looking for, for us to upload the contract and for the AI to do its magic. I uploaded different types of contracts, just to be fun. I uploaded a foreign-language contract just to see what the AI would do with it, very poorly written contracts with a lot of hand scribbles, contracts that were not very legible, as well as just pretty straightforward contracts, and the accuracy was pretty darn good. It was at that moment where I was, "This is it. This is where the company needs to be." The feedback that I get from not just legal but to other departments within Jelly Belly, marketing, sales, finance, operations, it just saves them a lot of time. The ROI is tremendous because there were a lot of times where we're like, "Where is the contract? Who is it with? What were their comments," and now with the workflow, it's all in one place. So we are super excited about it and super excited to continue to partner with Evisort.
